| The Istana Seri Menanti, also known as the Istana Lama Seri Menanti, is one of the famous landmarks in Negeri Sembilan. This palace is four-storey high and is built of hardwood timber extracted from the forest in the state. What make it more special is that was constructed without using any nails. Hardwood rods were instead used to piece the timber together. Works on the old palace began in November 1902 and were completed in 1908. |
