KL is the main gateway for arrivals in the country and has established
itself as a major tourist destination in South East Asia. However, it is
now facing a series of challenges in further improving its position as a
top global tourism destination. The KL Tourism Master Plan from the
year 2014 to 2025 is an initiative by Kuala Lumpur Tourism Development
Council or KLTDC towards making KL a premium urban tourists destination
for the next 10 years.
